Step Out® is back in person in 2022, and you won’t want to miss it! Step Out is a day full of fun and excitement as we celebrate people living with diabetes and fundraise in support of the mission of the American Diabetes Association®.

Day of Event Details

Parking:
Please follow all signs and the instructions of parking directors on Belle Isle to ensure everyone’s safety. There will be ADA signs posted and parking attendants to help you find your way and get you to our event location!

How much does it cost to park on Belle Isle?
There is no cost to enter the park as a pedestrian or cyclist. However, a Recreation Passport or day pass is needed to DRIVE onto the island.

Fees for vehicle entry to Belle Isle State Park.
$12 for Michigan-registered vehicles annual pass
$6 for Michigan-registered motorcycles annual pass
$33 for non-resident annual pass
$9 for non-resident day pass

Arrival and Check-In:
The is no registration fee for the 2022 Step Out Walk. When you arrive to the event, you will head to the Registration Tent to check-in, enter any offline donations you have received, and receive your walk bib. Individuals can register to walk the day-of.

Important Note: Please be advised that if you registered online, your emergency waiver form was completed before finalizing your registration. Individuals who register on-site will be required to complete the paper emergency waiver form.
