Santa’s Fun Run

Join us for our Santa Fun Run! Both the 5k and 10k will be chip timed. The races will start and finish at the Olson Cultural Event Center in downtown Le Mars and will lead you through residential Le Mars, onto our recreation trail. The 10k runners will also continue to the trail through our beautiful Willow Creek Golf Course. Santa's Fun Run is part of the Christmas in Hometown Le Mars family events. Come for the race and stay for the day to celebrate the joy of Christmas in Le Mars. We encourage racers and walkers to dress up in your 'Santa Suit', ugly Christmas sweater, festive socks or any other holiday attire. Stay after the race for awards and a post race snack.

PACKET PICKUP
Saturday, November 26 8:00-9:30 am at the KC Hall (120 1st Ave NE, Le Mars IA)

SHOWERS
Showers will be available at the Le Mars YMCA 8am-5pm on race day. Racers can show their race bib for a free shower. The Le Mars YMCA will also provide a towel. The Le Mars YMCA is located at 241 12th Street SE, Le Mars IA.

WAIVER
No refunds will be given due to weather or Covid or other unforeseen circumstances if the event is cancelled or changed to virtual.

HOTEL
Are you coming from out of town and need a hotel? Check back, we will have a hotel recommendation soon.

RACE RULES
No dogs please. If you choose to wear ear buds we recommend that you only wear one ear bud so you can hear race volunteers giving directions and be aware of traffic.

AWARDS
At the completion of the races awards will be announced inside or outside of the KC Hall depending on the weather. The overall top three male and female finishers for the 5k and 10k will receive prizes. The top three finishers in each age group for male and female will receive medals. There will be a great photo op to get a picture with your medal.

SWAG
Register by November 1 to be guaranteed swag, our swag will be festive. You definitely don’t want to miss out!

PARKING
There will be parking available in downtown Le Mars and also at other locations in Le Mars with a free shuttle ride to the race.
