Scenic Byway River Run

14 years RUNNING! This race is chip timed and USATF certified. Our Half Marathon takes you through beautiful downtown Belle Plaine before heading north across the Minnesota River. Our volunteers will be there to cheer you on! The course takes you along Minnesota’s Scenic Byway with rolling hills, eagle sightings and stunning countryside views. Half marathoners will then run back through the historic Avenue of the Trees towards Blakeley, then a gradual climb takes you back to the finish line.
Make sure to pay attention to the water stops throughout the course. Local clubs compete for cash prizes for the best stop and runners vote at the end of the race.
The course will have volunteers, Ham Radio operators, and members of the Belle Plaine Police & Fire Departments, as well as some directional arrows to help guide runners through the race route. Be sure to pay attention to all course signs. Participants receive a medal & a shirt.
