PurePactola: A Dam Good Swim!

Dive in to the largest lake in the Black Hills of South Dakota for a beautiful and invigorating open-water swim race with multiple distances for all open water swimmers.

Pure Pactola offers FOUR distance options: 0.5 miles, 1.2 miles, 2.4 miles, and a 5K for you sharks out there. This will give everyone a chance to put their skills to the test in Pactola Reservoir’s deep, clear, and often crisp waters.

For our guppies in training or those who just want to see if they can open water swim, we have a 100 meter or maybe 200ish meter swim. Distance will be determined based on entries from our under 14 year old age groups (we will pretend your are 14 even if you aren’t but you will not get a prize and yes you will have to pay full price (because you have a job (hopefully.)

1/2 Mile, 1.2 Mile, 2.4 Mile and 5 KM
$70 November 24th, 2023 to February 29th, 2024
$90 March 1st, 2024 to May 31st, 2024
$100 June 1, 2024 to close

SCHEDULE:
6:00 am - 7:00 am - Race Day Check In
NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION
7:30 am - Mandatory Swimmer Safety Meeting
8:00 am - 5km Start
*Each distance starting 10 min later
Picnic and awards after the swim!


PRE-PACKET PICK UP:
*Come early to pick out your towel color or you will get what you get and can’t throw a fit!
